| Storyline: | In the city of Los Angeles, a Christmas party is held on the 30th floor of the Nakatomi Plaza Hotel. While the party is going on, downstairs, a band of German terrorists arrive and take the entire building hostage including its employees and attempts a huge robbery. But the only one who eludes capture is New York City Cop John McClane who launches a one man war in an attempt to stop the terrorists and save all hostages including his wife Holly. |

This is the one that started it all and put Bruce Willis on top. I remember when this movie came out there wasn't anything else at the time even comparable to this one.

This movie never ages and Alan Rickman does well as the bad guy and proves he's a brilliant actor

Doesn't have the body count of say Hard boiled or Rambo. No, instead this forever classic has well timed wit and a battle of wills between a suave mastermind and a ruthless cop so tense that at the end you can't help but sit back and smile at the fact you have watched the greatest thriller of them all.
Featuring master direction and cinematography. Spawning scores of inferior wannabe's and redefining the action hero and villain making Bruce Willis and Alan Rickman into household names for decades. No classic has had a bigger impact on a stars career or the genre than this machine. Can't top this classic no way no how!!!

A good action film, good acting and good story as well. This classic action movie is well worth watching. I would rate this movie a 8 out of 10 to view.

damn this movie doesn't get old. seen it 100's of times and it still fells like is the first time every time i watch it. 3 1/2 of 4 stars excellent.
