| Storyline: | When the USA satellites photograph many flying saucers coming to Earth, the American President James Dale has a meeting with his advisers. He is convinced by Professor Donald Kessler that Martians would be a developed culture and therefore peaceful by nature, in spite of the warnings of General Decker. The authorities, some civilians and the press prepare a welcome committee for the aliens, but they realize that Mars is actually attacking Earth. |

The idea of basing an entire movie on a trading card series from the sixties is more fun than the movie itself. The story is simple and silly, and the film is filled with movie stars and celebrities like Tom Jones and Jack Nicholson. But the movie is worth watching even if it's just for a laugh. 7/10

20th anniversary year for this little gem, despite decades of mixed reviews it's become quite the cult classic. Recommended watch for everyone... unless yodeling makes your head explode.
